Uttar Pradesh: STF rescues minor, apprehends two from Gorakhpur

Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], April 30 (ANI): The Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday arrested two persons from Sahjanwa in Gorakhpur and rescued a 13-year old minor from their clutches.

The police informed that the men, identified as brothers Suraj Singh and Aditya Singh, were arrested for kidnapping Akhand Kasaudhan from the Basti district.

“The accused had tied the child in a small three-room accommodation they had hired at Shivpuri Colony, Sahjanwa,” said Amitabh Yash, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), UP STF.

“The child was found having as many as 13 multiple injuries and in a deeply dehydrated state, needing immediate medical attention,” he added.

Further details into the matter are awaited. (ANI)
