New Delhi [India], May 1 (ANI): Railway protection force claimed to have busted a gang of impersonators pretending to be railway protection force and arrested three persons of the gang.
The accused have been identified as Bhagirath alias Rinku, Yogesh and Adarsh.
The police recovered Rs 70,000 in cash, one bag with four pairs of NCC uniforms, and one file folder with forged appointment letters from the railways.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the complaint was filed by the Sub-Inspector of Railway Protection Force, Sanjeev Kumar Verma who said that his driver Suman Kumar was travelling in Geeta Jayanti Express from NDRS to Panipat when he noticed a suspected person wearing the uniform of RPF.
He immediately informed his senior officers on call. SI Sanjeev Verma reached there with staff and apprehended Bhagirath.
In the meantime, Yogesh and Adarsh came on the spot and requested RPF staff to release Bhagirath. The police apprehended them too and they were taken to the Police Station Subzi Mandi Railway Station.
A case was registered against the three accused persons. Further investigation into the case is underway. (ANI)
