Charkhi Dadri (Haryana) [India], October 1 (ANI): Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) leader and Haryana MLA Abhay Chautala said on Tuesday that his party would be winning around 35 in the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections.
“In the whole state, now the situation is such that INLD would win 30-35 seats and in the coming days, the situation will involve further that we will form the govt with huge margin, along with Bahujan Samaj Party” he said.
He also criticised the Congress, saying that they do not trust their own leaders in Haryana.
“Congress doesn’t even have a candidate here who they can trust so they brought someone from outside. The people who don’t have enough candidates how will they form the government? The one who will get into power is someone who trusts their workers and candidates,” he added.
The INLD leader exuded confidence in the party cadre and said that the party trusts its workers.
“Our base is strong, the workers are even stronger, we trust them a lot and we have even more trust in the public,” he said.
Additionally, INLD chief and former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala also exuded confidence in the party forming the government in Haryana.
“INLD will form govt in Haryana, there is no doubt in that,” he told ANI.
Answering a question about whether he is going to become the chief minister if the party forms the government, he said, “CM will be decided by the elected representatives of the party.”
INLD is contesting Haryana assembly polls by forging ties with Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD).
Earlier on September 21, Bahujan Samaj Party national coordinator, Akash Anand, also expressed confidence that the INLD-BSP alliance would be forming the government.
He also criticised the Congress and BJP, stating that both parties are against reservation and pose a threat to it.
“We are getting good response wherever we are going, we are confident that the alliance of BSP and INLD is going to form the government in Haryana. If there is one party that has harmed the most to the people on the issue of reservation and has betrayed our people, it is Congress. BJP is also against reservation. Both these parties are a danger for reservations,” Anand told ANI.
Voting for the 90-member legislative assembly in Haryana will be held on October 5. The votes will be counted on October 8. (ANI)
