Kurukshetra (Haryana) [India], September 14 (ANI): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has said that Haryana has developed a lot in the last 10 years under the BJP rule and expressed confidence of the party coming to power in the state for the third successive term in the assembly polls.
“In the last 10 years, Haryana has developed a lot. Today, a huge difference can be seen between the work done in the last 50 years by the governments of Haryana and the 10 years of the BJP. Earlier jobs used to be sold in the state but now the effort of the poor and perseverance of the youth is given priority. Earlier, farmers used to sell their crops, but money used to get deposited into someone else’s account. Today, when farmers come back after selling their crops in the market, the money gets deposited into the farmer’s account within 72 hours. Earlier, senior citizens in Haryana used to get a pension of Rs 500. Today, the senior citizens get a pension of Rs 3,000, which is the highest in the entire country,” he said at an election rally, which was addressed Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Saini said that in 2015 in Panipat, PM Modi gave a slogan of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao and the state government has worked towards women’s empowerment.
He said government in the last 56 days has taken 126 historic decisions for Haryana. “The people of Haryana have decided to vote for BJP for the third term and form a double-engine government,” he said.
In his remarks, PM Modi also urged people to return the BJP to power and slammed Congress over its policies. He also lauded the Chief Minister.
“Today, this son of Haryana is being praised all over the country. Very few people get so much popularity in such a short time and there is a reason for this. Our Chief Minister remains dedicated to the development of Haryana,” he said.
Saini is contesting assembly polls from Ladwa.
Haryana will go to the polls on October 5 and votes will be counted on October 8. (ANI)
